Request Your PIN

To electronically file copies of your 941/944 forms with the IRS, you must have an e-filing PIN. This is an electronic signature for your tax return. It takes the IRS 7 to 10 business days to send you this information, so give yourself plenty of time when requesting your PIN.
Note: You can also request a PIN during the 941/944 E-File Process, but keep in mind that it takes 7 to 10 business days to process your request and get your PIN.
  1. On the Transactions tab, click End of Period > Tax E-File.
  2. On the General Information tab, click PSD Tax E-File Account Setup. If you have not yet set up an account, enter your information.
A confirmation email is sent to your email address.
  3. Click Request a PIN.
  4. In the PIN Registration dialog box, enter your information in the fields, and click Save.
A webpage loads in your Internet browser confirming that your request was sent.

The IRS will send you a PIN in 7 to 10 business days. Once you have this, you can electronically file your 941 or 944 forms.
