- Still out of balance? It's time to dig in and find the issue.
- Identify the exact amount that is causing you to be out of balance.

Here are some other tips to narrow down the issue:- Were you in balance the prior month?
- If so, was anything (like distributions) changed in the prior month?
- If you're running a balance sheet by department, check out Department Out of Balance.
- If you're having bank reconciliation issues, try these steps:
- See if you've made any changes since the last time you reconciled.
- Run the Fix process to verify that all debits/credits match up, and see if any distributions were changed.
- See if the amount you are off by is in the Accounting Overview. If you don't see that amount, double check that nothing was changed or voided in the prior month.
- Verify in your Data folder for the prior month that you reconciled and were in balance.
- See if you recently closed the month or fiscal year.
