View Transaction Data and Summary Reports

In the Accounting Overview window, you can view detailed transaction data and summary reports.

List of Transactions

On the Transactions tab, click Accounting Overview > List of Transactions. You can customize the listing screen by clicking Customize View.

List of Batches

On the Transactions tab, click Accounting Overview > List of Batches. You can reprint any batch from this window.

Statement of Financial Position (Balance Sheet)

On the Transactions tab, click Accounting Overview > Stmt. of Financial Pos.. You can view items related to the Statement of Financial Position, like the balance sheet accounts which include all of the asset, liability, and equity accounts.

By default, the current open month displays. To view a statement for a different month, enter the date you want to view in the Month of Report field and click Recalculate. Click Set Options to change the layout of the statement. To show open transactions in the report totals, select Include Totals of Transactions Not Posted.

Click an amount to view a list of transactions and details, when applicable. Click a total to view the account name, number, and type.

Statement of Activity (Income Statement)

On the Transactions tab, click Accounting Overview > Stmt. of Activity. You can view items related to the Statement of Activity, like the income statement accounts which include income, expense, and net accounts.

By default, the current open month displays. To view a statement for a different date range, enter the dates and click Recalculate. Click Set Options to change the layout of the statement. To show open transactions in the report totals, select Include Totals of Transactions Not Posted.

Click an amount to view a list of transactions and details, when applicable. Click a total to view the account name, number, and type.

General Ledger

On the Transactions tab, click Accounting Overview > General Ledger. You can view the transaction-level detail for each account for a given date range. Voided transactions in the period are denoted by the cross symbol (†). The asterisk (*) denotes transactions that were voided or corrected in a later period, or denotes a reversing or correcting entry of that transaction.

By default, the current open month displays. To view the general ledger for a different date range (within the past six years), enter the dates and click Recalculate. Click Set Options to change the layout of the statement. To show open transactions in the report totals, select Include Totals of Transactions Not Posted.
Note: If you know you have an account that is out of balance, the General Ledger report can be helpful for all solutions. Go to Reports > COA Reports > Accounting Reports > General Ledger Report.

Statement of Cash Flow

On the Transactions tab, click Accounting Overview > Cash Flow. You can view a report that explains the difference between the beginning and ending amounts of cash. In the report, cash usage is divided into three categories: Operating, Investing, and Financial.

By default, the current open month displays. To view a statement for a different date range, enter the dates and click Recalculate. To show open transactions in the report totals, select Include Totals of Transactions Not Posted.

Click Set Options to change the account designations of the statement. To define subcategories for each activity, click Set Subcategories.
