Your Website, Your Way!

You can deploy one or more widgets by adding a few lines of code on the appropriate web pages. To jump in, see Quick Start. And check out Specific CMS Tips to be sure your website's content management system (CMS) can successfully integrate widgets into your existing ecosystem.

To fully optimize widgets, make sure you are using the latest version of your browser.

Authentication

Widgets use the same authentication as MinistryPlatform for login, account creation, and password reset functionality. Any website visitor can create a user account, and the system will add a user record for that person.

These user records will not count towards your monthly number of supported users unless you assign specific security roles to them.

• About Me: Authenticated users can tell you which attributes (that you define) apply to them.
• Custom Form: People can complete a custom form (with conditional logic).
• Event Finder: Displays featured available online events occurring in the next 360 days, and displays all non-featured available online events occurring in the next 120 days.
• Event Details & Registration: Displays details for a single event and allows for free or paid registration.
• Group Details: Selected from the Group Finder widget, this widget displays additional group information.
• Group Finder: Displays groups that are available online and accepting new participants.
• Invoice Details & Payment: People can register themselves and others for free or paid events.
• Language & Locale: Provides a multi-lingual approach, so people can select their preferred language.
• Login: A person can log in or create an account.
• Make a Pledge: People can pledge toward a pledge campaign.
• Mission Trip Application: People can apply for a specific mission trip and pledge to raise a required amount.
• My Contribution Statements: Authenticated users can download a PDF of their contribution statements and opt for paperless delivery.
• My Giving: Authenticated users can see details of their past financial gifts.
• My Groups: Authenticated users can view the groups in which they currently participate.
• My Household: Authenticated users can view and update household details.
• My Invoices: Authenticated users can view invoices from the past 360 days and pay outstanding balances.
• My Mission Trips: Authenticated users can view and manage their mission trips.
• My Pledges: Authenticated users can view and manage their campaign pledges.
• My Subscriptions: Authenticated users can view and update their subscriptions.
• One-Click Unsubscribe: People can unsubscribe from a single publication or opt-out of bulk email.
• Online Directory: Authenticated users can search for fellow congregants or parishioners.
• Opportunity Details: Selected from the Opportunity Finder widget, this widget displays additional information and a response form.
• Opportunity Finder: Displays opportunities that are available online and accepting responses.
• Plan Your Visit: People can express interest in attending and prepare to visit your church.
• Prayer & Feedback: People can provide prayer, praise reports, comments, and other feedback.
• RSS Feed: Organize and display a stream of content on your website.
• Subscribe to Publication: People can subscribe to a publication.
• User-Defined Labels: Provides more control over labels and translations on your site or microsite.

Widgets Library

Staff users can reference the widget library to see samples of each widget. This library is not intended for public consumption. It's just a way for your staff to check out all the available widgets before you configure the ones you want for your church's website.

To get to the widget library, open a web browser and add /widgets to the end of your system domain. For example, if your MinistryPlatform URL is example-church.ministryplatform.net/mp, then your widgets application would be found at example-church.ministryplatform.net/widgets. You can find various widgets in the library using the navigation drop-down menu.
