Mission Trips

In the Platform

Mission Trips can be managed from the Mission Trip Section of the Platform, which contains the following pages:

  • Mission Trips: A filtered page of the Pledge Campaigns page that only shows campaigns with a type of Mission Trip. This way, users can access this page without having access to all pledge campaigns.

  • Mission Trip Pledges: A filtered page of the Pledges page that only shows pledges for campaigns with a type of Mission Trip. This way, users can access this page without having access to all pledges.

  • Mission Distributions: A filtered page of the Donation Distributions page that only shows donation distributions with a pledge assigned for a campaign with a type of Mission Trip. This way, users can access this page without having access to all donation distributions.

From these Missions Trip pages, you can see the Pledge Campaign (mission trip) details, the Pledges (trip participants fundraising) for that campaign, and the progress towards their Pledge (fundraising) goal.

Note: By default, the Mission Trip Leader and Administrators Security Roles have rights to the Mission Trip section and pages.

Mission Trip Widgets

With the mission trip widgets, authenticated users can apply for and manage their mission trips.

Setup

In MinistryPlatform, a mission trip is a type of Pledge Campaign and Event. Individuals who are going on the trip commit ("pledge") to raise money for the trip ("campaign"). The trip itself is an event that goes on the calendar with the dates of departure and return.
