Using the Online Directory widget, those who are logged in and eligible can search for fellow congregants or parishioners and view their basic contact information.

• Use of this widget requires authentication. That means, the user must log in first.
• To access the directory, an authenticated user must have a participant type or a member status that has Can Access Directory set to Yes.
• Use the Campus/Congregation drop-down list to narrow your search.
• Use keyword search with predictive text for better search.
  Note: Type at least three characters in the search bar to see results.
• To display in the online directory, contacts must meet the following criteria:
  • A contact status of anything other than Deceased.
  • A participant type where Show in Directory is set to Yes.
  • A congregation or parish where Available Online is set to Yes.
  • A member status with Show in Directory set to Yes.
• If you don't want certain people to display (such as guests or former members), see Remove Member Status or Participant Types from your Online Directory.
• We understand that not everyone wants their information included in an online directory, so every contact can choose to:
  • Not display in the directory at all.
  • Display in the directory but not include their email address.
  • Display in the directory but not display their mobile phone number.
• In addition, each household can choose to:
  • Display in the directory but not display their home phone number.
  • Display in the directory but not display their physical address.

Sections

Campus

This drop-down list displays all campuses or congregations that are available online. You can also narrow available campuses through attribute or URL filters.

Keyword

User-friendly keyword search helps people find exactly who they're looking for.

• Predictive text helps complete the search after the person types three characters. The search evaluates first name, nickname, last name, mobile phone, home phone, and email.
• You can use any of the following formats to search by name:
  • "Nickname Lastname"
  • "Firstname Lastname"
  • "Lastname, Nickname"
  • "Lastname, Firstname"
  • "Display Name"&"First/Nickname + Last Name"
• Any and all matches are returned, no matter where they display. So you don't have to know the exact spelling of the last name to find your friend!

Directory Cards

Each contact in the directory displays on a directory card that shows their name, mobile phone, and home phone, if available. The directory card also includes actionable icons:

• Birthday Icon: The day and month display. Tap the icon to download an ICS/iCal file.
• Email Icon: Tap the icon to open an email dialog box so the person logged in can send a message.
• Address Icon: Tap the icon to open Google Maps and display the household address.
• Family Icon: Tap the icon to display directory cards for other household members.

Note: Emails sent through the Online Directory widget are sent from the person logged in and are logged in MinistryPlatform.
