Copy Batch Tool

With the Copy Batch tool, you can copy a selection of donations that have similar information so you can easily create a recurring batch.

  • The tool is available on the Batches page, and you can launch it from an open record.
  • You can use the tool to add recurring batches that have similar information every time, such as:
    • Donations deducted from employee payroll in the same amount each time you process payroll, or
    • ACH donations that are set up, scheduled, and executed on a regular basis through a third party.
  • After you copy a batch, you'll see a success message. You can then find the copied batch on the Batches page under the "Not Yet Finalized" view or in the Batch Manager tool.

Note: SPoCs can grant user access to this tool.

Copy a Batch

  1. In the navigation menu, click Contributions > Batches.
  2. Open the batch you want to copy.
  3. From the Tools menu, select Copy Batch Tool.
  4. Select the date for donations. It defaults to the current date, but you can click the calendar icon to change it.
  5. Enter a name for the batch. This name must include at least six characters.
  6. Click Copy Batch.
    A success message displays.
  7. Close the tool.

You've copied the batch with the given information. You can locate it on the Batches page under the "Not Yet Finalized" view or in the Batch Manager tool.

The copied batch is exactly like the original except:
  • The donation dates are changed to the date you set.
  • The batch is not yet finalized.
  • The batch is not yet part of a deposit.
  • The batch belongs to the user who copied it.
