Explicitly Secured Actions

Some actions you can perform on a page are highly specific and powerful. For example, securing a record affects how that record can be viewed in the Platform. We refer to these as "explicitly secured actions", which include the following:
  • Exporting records
  • Attach files to records
  • Securing records

Each action is specific to a page, and they are not available on sub-pages. Think of this as page-specific security options. For example, having the right to attach an image to a Contact record does not automatically give a user the right to attach an image to a Household record.

Explicitly secured actions are assigned to security roles that you can then apply to users who need to perform those actions.

Export

Users with this security role and explicitly secured action can export one or more records from a page into a comma delimited file or another supported file type. Read permission is required.

Attach

Users with this security role and explicitly secured action can upload files, including images, associated with records on a page. Users with this right can also delete files attached to records. Read permission is required.

Secure

Users with this security role and explicitly secured action can hide records on a page from other users. Learn more about securing records. Read permission is required.
