Print the Quarterly 941

At the end of each payroll quarter, you must report the federal payroll taxes withheld on the 941 quarterly report.
Note: If your tax liability is less than $2,500, you do not need to file the Schedule B portion of the 941 quarterly report. When you print the report, Schedule B of the form does not print.
  1. On the Transactions tab, click End of Period > Payroll End of Quarter.
  2. Click Print Information for Federal Quarterly Returns.
  3. Make sure you have blank paper loaded in your printer, and click OK.
  4. Click through and make any necessary selections on each window.
  5. In the Listing Layout window, select the Smallest Margins margin style.
  6. Preview and print the report.
  7. Now, you can set up and print the 941 forms. Click OK to proceed.
    Note: The 941 forms are IRS-compatible and can be printed on plain white paper. You do not need preprinted forms.
  8. Click through and make any necessary selections on each window.
  9. In the Listing Layout window, select the Smallest Margins margin style.
  10. In the Form 941 window, enter the amounts for the applicable lines. On line 13, make sure you enter the dollar amount of all deposits made during the quarter.
  11. Preview and print the report.
  12. After you complete the quarterly process for each employer, back up the quarter for payroll. In the Quarterly Processes window, click Perform End of Quarter Backup.
