New Message Tool
Use the New Message Tool to send emails and texts from MinistryPlatform.
- You can launch the New Message Tool from the My Messages tab on your Home page or from the Actions menu on any page where it's enabled.
- You can select your Recipients before you launch the tool (using a selection) or after you launch the tool (using the search function).
- In the New Message Tool, you can select whether to send an email or text message (as long as your Security Role and Mass Email Quota allow these options).
- Each contact receives a unique email and will not see who else the email was sent to.
- Message and Recipient records are created and recorded in the Audit Log.
Note: Not seeing the New Message Tool? Make sure your staff and volunteers can send messages by checking their Security Roles. The Mass Email Quota for at least one of their roles should be greater than zero. Also, confirm that the Contact ID field is available on the page they're trying to send a message from.
