Task Owner/Email From Fields

This can be one of the following:

  • Specific User
  • Supervisor
  • Lookup User

Example showing the fields on a Step record

These are set on the Step record.

Specific User
If the step will always be owned by a specific user, select that user. This user will get the task or be listed as having sent the email (if applicable). You can use a generic user account for steps that run a procedure.
Supervisor User
When set to Yes, the step will assign a task to the supervisor of the user who edited or added the record that caused the process to fire initially.
Lookup User Field
Displays the Lookup User field, which requires a lookup value. Dynamically looks up the user you want to assign the task or list as sending the email based on the main record. Generally, the value in this field ends in "User_ID" or "User_Account" (with or without brackets). This field supports the Table Lookup Convention. The starting point for this SQL value must be from the page or table attached to this Process.
Note: It is important to configure this properly.
