Manage Notes

Add a Note

Attach a note to a profile.

  • You'll need the Manage Notes permission among your responsibilities.
  • To add private notes, you'll need the Manage Private Notes permission.
  1. Locate and open the record you want to add a note to.
  2. Click the Notes tab.
  3. Click Add Note or Add Private Note.
  4. Enter your comments in the text box.
  5. Click Save.

Edit a Note

With the appropriate permissions, you can edit profile notes.

  • You'll need the Manage Notes permission among your responsibilities.
  • To edit a private note, you must either be its creator or an administrator.
  1. Locate and open the record you want to edit a note for.
  2. Click the Notes tab.
  3. Next to an existing note, click the ellipsis icon and Edit.
  4. Make any necessary changes, then click Save.

Delete a Note

If you have permissions, you can delete profile notes.

  • You'll need the Manage Notes permission among your responsibilities.
  • To delete a private note, you must either be its creator or an administrator.

With the right permissions, you can delete a note that is not private and that you did not originally create. However, private notes on a profile can only be deleted by the person who created the note.

  1. Locate and open the record you want to delete a note from.
  2. Click the Notes tab.
  3. Point to the note you want to delete.
  4. Click the ellipsis icon, and select Delete.
