Communications
Whether your church needs to broadcast an urgent alert, send a weekly newsletter, text a small group, or start a private conversation with a member in need, Realm's communication tools are built to meet your congregation where they are.
Wherever they are and however they prefer to connect, Realm gives your church a complete set of communication tools to reach members, visitors, and potential new members .
-
Church administrators and staff can send site-wide alerts, email campaigns, and text messages to targeted audiences across the congregation. Administrators and staff can also schedule emails and texts to send at a later date and time. Administrators and staff can also leverage a Constant Contact integration to manage and sync contact lists for email marketing and text outreach, making it easy to communicate with current members and prospects.
-
Group and volunteer team leaders can keep their groups engaged with targeted newsfeeds, inbox messaging (email and text), and real-time chat.
- Pastors and pastoral staff can use the dedicated mobile experience through the Realm Shepherd app, providing on-the-go access to the church directory, groups, pathways, and pastoral notes.
-
Everyone can stay connected through the free Connect mobile app, participating in group conversations, receiving notifications, and accessing church information from their phones or tablets.
The My Communications () page provides staff a centralized view of email and text history to monitor delivery, manage scheduled sends, and ensure no one is being missed. History is preserved for up to one year.
Navigating My Communications
- Sent — is the default view and displays all messages that have already been delivered.
- Scheduled — shows messages that have been queued to send at a future date and time, giving you a chance to review or cancel them before they go out.
- Archived —
holds messages you have manually moved out of your active history for organizational purposes — they are preserved but no longer clutter your main list.
By default, each tab displays communications from the past 30 days. You can use the filter options to adjust the date range or narrow results. Select the **Reset Filters** button to return to the default view at any time.
Viewing Message Detail
The detail view shows the full content of the message along with a delivery statistics summary.
For emails, the summary includes counts for missing emails, bounced emails, successful deliveries, and unsubscribed recipients. On the email detail view, click the Copy Email Content button to quickly reuse the message body when composing a new email.
For one-way texts, it shows counts for missing opted-in phone numbers, undelivered texts, successfully delivered texts, and opted-out recipients. You can also click View next to the recipient count to see a list of the individuals the message was addressed to.
Managing Your History
You can archive a message to move it to the Archived view or Delete it to remove it permanently. Archiving is a good choice when you want to keep a record of a messaging without it appearing in your active sent list.
