We're welcoming a deeper integration with The StudioC, and we're welcoming back a fan favorite: Groups Map! Check out all the other enhancements and improvements, too.

  • Exciting news: PocketPlatform now fully integrates with The StudioC! This means you can replicate your StudioC web interface entirely within PocketPlatform. Plus, you can mix and match StudioC recipes with PocketPlatform recipes on your dashboard. Available sections include:
    • User Avatar (userAvatarWelcome recipe) - Displays the logged-in user's profile photo and name.
    • Badges (userGoals recipe) - Displays the achieved and yet-to-achieve badges that the user can tap for more information.
    • My Messages (studioCMessages recipe) - Displays StudioC messages natively on the dashboard. (Currently, only the graphic, title, body, and button text are supported.)
    • My Info (userInfo recipe) - Displays the user's contact information, birthday, marital status, and gender, as well as all household members with names and profile photos.
    • My Connections (congregationOfRecord recipe) - Displays the name and contact information of the congregation associated with the user's household.

  • To learn more, check out The StudioC Dashboard in PocketPlatform. For information on setting up the integration, see The StudioC.
  • We now send analytics information to The StudioC API for any StudioC content you include in your app.

  • You asked, we answered! The map-based Group Finder is now available to add to your app! When you include the Groups Map, users can view the location of groups on a map so they can find one that's close to their home, work, school, or other convenient location.

  • For a group to display on the Groups Map, the Group record must have an Offsite Meeting Address entered, and the address must have Latitude and Longitude values set.
  • Contact Support to get the Groups Map!

Campus/Parish Selector

  • On the Campus/Parish Selector map tab, if a campus or parish is marked as "Coming Soon", it is now plotted with a yellow pin. This color difference can help users quickly understand whether a campus/parish is active or coming soon without having to click it. If they do click it, they will see "(Coming Soon!)", and they won't see the button to set it as their active campus/parish yet.

  • Fixed an issue where the Info window was not displaying after tapping a pin on the Campus/Parish Selector map tab.

Custom Forms

  • When filling out a custom form in the app, after a user opens a drop-down menu, they can now click anywhere outside of that menu to close it without making a selection.
  • We updated the format of dates that are sent to the Platform from the app. Now, date fields use YYYY-MM-DD, which matches the format that widgets use. Note that this change does not affect Form Responses submitted before this release.

Events

  • Back in February, we provided a way to show custom text (such as instructions or additional information) before the user was sent out to the payment vendor's website. Now, when an event registration is free ($0), this custom text will be hidden automatically, and the user will not be redirected to their device browser since they don't need to enter a payment.
  • Fixed an issue where the Register button still displayed after the Registration End Date if the event did not have a Registration Start Date.

FastPass

  • Fixed an issue for Android users where the screen brightness was staying at 100% if you navigated away from the FastPass QR Code to a previous screen using the device's back button.

Giving

  • If you integrate with OnlineGiving.Org, you can create additional types of links to their website and pass the authenticated user through. Link the user to:
    • A list of their recurring gifts so they can make changes.
      • For example: (onlineGiving)https://<your OnlineGiving website>/donate/recurring
    • Their contribution statement (if you use those instead of MinistryPlatform statements).
      • For example: (onlineGiving)https://<your OnlineGiving website>/statement
    • A custom giving form.
      • For example: (onlineGiving)https://<your OnlineGiving website>/donate/form/171
    • Their Household Invoices page.
      • For example: (onlineGiving)https://<your OnlineGiving website>/donate/mp_invoices
  • To add these links in your navigation menu, contact Support. If you want to add links to a List of Lists or Announcement, just enter the Link URL with "(onlineGiving)" directly in front of the URL.

Additional Improvements

  • Fixed an issue where the Tab navigation menu was covering content at the bottom of the screen.
  • Fixed an issue where the device's status bar (the clock, battery indicator, and so on) was not displaying when using Dark Mode.
  • Fixed a rare issue where some phone numbers were flagged as invalid when creating an account.
  • Fixed a rare issue where the app would crash when accessing Group Chat if the contact who sent the message had no first name, last name, or nickname.
