Cancel an Event
Sometimes things change, and your carefully planned event needs to be canceled. Or maybe an errant/duplicate Event ends up on your calendar and needs to be canceled. Never fear; you can cancel events by editing a few fields!
- On the Events page, search for and open the event.
- Click Edit.
- Change the Cancelled field to Yes.
- If the Event has active registration, also change the Registration Active field to No.
- Update the Description and/or Meeting Instructions as needed.
- Click Save.

The text ***Cancelled*** is appended to the beginning of the Event Title.
- The event's Room Reservations have Cancelled set to Yes, and the text **CANCELLED** is added to the Notes.
- The event's Equipment Reservations have Cancelled set to Yes, and the text **CANCELLED** is added to the Notes.
- The event's Services Reservations have Cancelled set to Yes, and the text **CANCELLED** is added to the Notes.
- If applicable, the event is removed from Check-In Suite.
Did your event require payment? You'll need to make a decision about how you would like to handle those payments. Some registrants may request a refund of the payment, whereas others may request it be changed into a donation.
