Integrations

Growth Method

Growth Method (formerly Focus Growth), uses Ministry Intelligence to help you effectively engage and assimilate visitors, members, ministry, and spiritual discipleship!

Cost

There is no charge from ACS Technologies for configuring the integration.

Fees from Go Method will be assessed per each church's individual contract agreement.

Integration with MP

Growth Method can create and/or update Contact, Participant, and Household records.

Growth Method maps to the following MinistryPlatform fields:

  • Events
  • Form Responses
  • Groups
  • Group Inquiries
  • Group Participants
  • Group Roles
  • Milestones
  • Opportunities
  • Participant Types

Integration Setup: In the Platform

  • An account with Growth Method through Full Method (formerly Focus Ministry) must be established before the integration can be configured.
Note: Best Practice: We recommend creating a new API User for your API Client so the Audit Log can track which integration makes changes. Follow the steps below.
  1. Add a company contact for "API-GrowthMethod" using the Add/Edit Company Tool.
  2. Create a new User, and select the company contact you added.
    1. Make sure this User has a Security Role with Administrator rights.
  3. Go to Administration > API Clients, and click New.
  4. Enter "Growth Method" for Display Name and Client ID.
  5. Enter a Client Secret. This is the "password" used by Growth Method to access your MinistryPlatform database. We highly recommend using a password generator so your Client Secret is unique and secure.
  6. Select a Client User. Choose: API, API | Login: apiuser.
    Note: Whatever Client User you choose or create, they must have a Security Role with Administrator rights.
  7. Select Authentication Flow pf "Authorization Code, Implicit, Hybrid, Client Credentials, or Resource Owner."
  8. All other settings can remain the same.
  9. Click Save.
