Congregations or Parishes
The Congregation/Parish where a Household is attending is listed on that Household's record in MinistryPlatform. This is because it is expected that a family worships together.
- The Congregation/Parish of the Household does not limit which Groups or Events the members of that Household might participate in. Therefore, it is possible for an individual to worship at one Congregation/Parish and belong to a Group or an Event sponsored by another Congregation/Parish.
Update a Household Congregation/Parish
You can change the Congregation/Parish by editing the Household record. Other applications (including Check-In, Add/Edit Family Tool, and the My Household widget) also allow you to set or update the Congregation/Parish when a change is needed for a specific record.
To ensure each Household has the best possible Congregation/Parish assigned, use the Review Last Congregation/Parish view and reassign any households as needed.
- Go to Households.
- In the View drop-down list, select Review Last Congregation/Parish.
- Select any households whose current congregation/parish does not match where they're currently involved.
- From the Actions menu, use the Assign tool to change the Congregation/Parish field on the selected Households records.
