Create an API Key for SendGrid

  1. In your SendGrid account, navigate to Settings > API Keys.
  2. Click Create API Key, and give the key a name. The name doesn't matter much — this is just for organizing multiple keys if you have them.

  3. Grant the necessary access.
    1. Click Restricted Access.

  4. Move your mouse over the new API Key, and click to copy the text of the Key.
CAUTION: This is your last opportunity to copy the key. If you miss this step, you have to start over.

You'll see a confirmation to the right of the Key once you've successfully copied it.
  5. Send the API Key to Support. This is all we need to set up your new SendGrid account in MinistryPlatform!
Note: Please send us the copied text, rather than a screenshot. Typing a key this long is prone to error.
