Go Method

Go Method provides robust tools to manage mission trips from start to finish and syncs seamlessly to MinistryPlatform!

Update People

By default, the Go Method integration automatically updates contact information in MinistryPlatform. You can now decide whether you want these changes to occur or if you prefer to update data manually. To stop the automatic updates, deselect the box that says All Go Method to update person information in MinistryPlatform under Admin > Settings > Software Integrations.

Import Trip From MinistryPlatform Tool

You can import a mission trip from MinistryPlatform into Go Method. All pledge campaign and event data moves from MinistryPlatform to Go Method along with any pledges and donations associated with those pledges.

Cost

There is no charge from ACS Technologies for configuring the integration.

Fees from Go Method are assessed as per each church's individual contract agreement.

Integration Setup: In the Platform

  • You must have an account with Go Method to configure this integration.

Best Practice: We recommend you create a new API User for your API Client so the Audit Log can track which integration makes changes. Follow the steps below.

  1. Add a company contact for "API-GoMethod" using the Add/Edit Company tool.
  2. Create a new User, and select the company contact you added.
Note: Make sure this User has a security role with Administrator rights.
  3. Go to Administration > API Clients, and click New.
  4. Enter "Go Method" for Display Name and Client ID.
  5. Enter a Client Secret. This is the "password" used by Go Method to access your MinistryPlatform database. We highly recommend you use a password generator to create a unique and secure Client Secret.
  6. Select the Client User you created.
  7. Select Authentication Flow of "Authorization Code, Implicit, Hybrid, Client Credentials, or Resource Owner".
  8. All other settings can remain the same.
  9. Click Save.
