Receive Documents

When sending documents, instruct recipients to complete it and send it back in the way that's best for you. If you plan to store documents in PDS, you'll need a digital copy of the document.

Note: PDS accepts most document and image file types, including .doc, .txt, .rtf, .pdf, .jpg, .jpeg, .bmp, and .png.

Digital Copies

The best way we recommend receiving documents is through a digital copy. If the recipient was able to fill out the document on their computer or device, they would be able to email the completed copy back to you. When you receive it, you can download the file to your computer.

Printed Copies

You may receive printed copies in person or in the mail if the recipient was unable to complete it on their computer or device. You can still get these documents into PDS using a scanner or a camera-enabled device. Once you scan or photograph the completed document, save the file to your computer.

You can also use your scanner within PDS to capture the document as an image. For more on that, see Add Documents.
