Standard Statement Generator
Information on generating standard statements as PDFs, including setting the Statement Generator webhook and how to manually trigger it.
When a donor accesses the My Contribution Statements Widget, they can save a PDF of their statement. Where do those statements come from? Standard statements are generated as PDFs and attached to the Statement record automatically through a webhook! The webhook looks to see if a PDF file is attached, and if it's not, the webhook adds one. The webhook will add PDFs going back four years.
For all of this to work, the Statement Generator webhook must be set to Active. Your coach will take care of that when setting you up for standard statements!
Some other things to keep in mind:
- The webhook is available in your system at deployment.
- The nightly Statement Maintenance Routine creates webhook invocations when someone changes a statement or an associated Statement record (for example, a new donation).
- Don't want to sleep on it? Update the Last Change by Routine field on a Statement record to manually trigger the webhook. When triggered, webhooks do not require submission.
- All of the configuration for donor standard statement applies. It's the same report, just saved and attached as a PDF.
