Add a Coupon Code
Create a coupon code that applicants can enter when applying to a trip to reduce their application cost.
- You must be a Go Method admin to do this.
Coupon codes are unique codes applicants can enter when they apply for a trip for a discounted price. While each applicant can only enter one coupon code per application, if there is also an active automatic discount for the applicant's team member type, the coupon will apply to the already-discounted price. For example, if you run an early bird registration coupon code for a trip that offers a discount for a medical personnel team member type, any medical personnel that use the coupon code will have their already-discounted registration fee reduced even more.
If the applicant registers multiple people using the coupon code, the coupon code applies to every registrant that matches the coupon code's team member type.
You can either add a coupon code in step three of the event creation process or go to the event's details tab, scroll to the discounts section, and click Manage Coupons.
- Click Add Coupon Code.
- Enter a name for the coupon code.
- Enter the coupon code.
- In the Discount Amount section, establish the coupon amount.
- To discount a specific dollar amount, click Amount and enter the dollar amount you want to discount in the field provided.
- To discount a specific percentage, click Percentage and enter the percentage amount you want to discount in the field provided.
- In the Active Dates section, select whether there is a date limit for the discount.
- If there is no date limit for the coupon code, click No.
- If there is a date limit for the coupon code, click Yes and enter the State Date and End Date range for the coupon code.
- In the Member Types section, select the team member types that can enter the coupon code. You must select at least one member type.
- Click Save Coupon Code.
