Copy a Form

Copy a current or past form to reuse its image, description, target group, and questions in a new draft form.

To build or manage forms, you need the Manage Forms permission set to Allow in your responsibilities. Administrators have this permission by default.

If you send a similar form again, such as a yearly survey, copy the earlier form instead of building it again. You can copy current forms and past forms.

The copy includes the original form's image, description, target group, and questions, including conditional questions. It doesn't include the end date, the Require a Login setting, or any responses. The copy collects its own responses, and the original form keeps its responses.

  1. In the top-left corner, click your site name then Realm. Then click Events & Forms > Forms.
  2. On the Current or Past tab, click the More Options icon next to the form and select Copy.
A new form opens with the original form's details filled in. Its title starts with "Copy of" followed by the original title.
  3. Enter a new Form Title (Public).
  4. Review the description, target group, image, and questions, and change what you need:
  5. To close the form on a certain date, select Set an End Date, then choose the End Date.
  6. Click Save.
CAUTION: If you leave Forms before you save, the copy isn't created.
The copy appears in the Forms list with a Draft status.
Next, preview the copy, then publish and share it. To require people to sign in, click Require a Login again when you share the copy.
