Edit a Form

Edit a current form's details, image, questions, or end date, but not expired forms.

To build or manage forms, you need the Manage Forms permission set to Allow in your responsibilities. Administrators have this permission by default.

You can edit any current form at any time, including after people have started responding. You cannot edit expired forms that display on the Past tab, but you can copy them to reuse them in a new form, download their .csv file, or delete them.

While editing current forms, be mindful of the following:

  • A published or shared form stays shared while you edit it.
  • After people have answered a question, you can't change its type. To ask it a different way, add a new question.
  • If you reword a question, the old answers stay attached, but the header column in the .csv file shows the new wording for them. Reworded answer options work the same way.
  • If you delete a question that already has answers, the question is removed from the form but the column and answers stay in the .csv file.
  1. In the top-left corner, click your site name then Realm. Then click Events & Forms > Forms.
  2. Click the name of the form, or click the More Options icon next to it and select Edit.
  3. Make your changes:
  4. Click Save.
CAUTION: If you leave Forms before you save, your changes are lost.
The change log records that a form was changed, but not the details of each change.
