Preview and Test a Form

Preview a form to see it the way people will, and walk through it before you share it.

To build or manage forms, you need the Manage Forms permission set to Allow in your responsibilities. Administrators have this permission by default.

Preview shows the last saved version of your form. You can type answers and pick choices to test the form, but nothing you enter in Preview is saved.
  1. In the top-left corner, click your site name then Realm. Then click Events & Forms > Forms.
  2. Click the name of the form.
  3. Click Preview. If you have unsaved changes, click Save & Preview.
The form opens in Preview Mode, looking the way people will see it.
  4. Go through the form the way a member would, and check that:
    • The title and description read correctly, with no leftover placeholder text such as [Church Name] or [Date].
    • The image looks right at the top of the form.
    • Each question uses the right type. For example, people pick one answer from round buttons and one or more answers from check boxes.
    • Answer choices are complete and spelled correctly.
    • Questions are in a logical order, with section headers where they help.
    • Required questions show an asterisk (*).
    • Follow-up questions appear when you pick the answers that trigger them.
  5. To return to Forms, click Back to Editor or Exit Preview.
  6. If you find something to fix, make the change, click Save, and preview the form again.
When the form looks right, you're ready to publish and share it.
