Download Form Responses

See how many people have responded to a form, and download their answers as a spreadsheet file.

To build or manage forms, you need the Manage Forms permission set to Allow in your responsibilities. Administrators have this permission by default.

The Forms list shows the number of responses for each form. To read the answers, download them as a CSV file, which opens in Excel, Google Sheets, Numbers, and most other spreadsheet programs. The download option appears once a form has at least one response. You can download responses from forms appearing on the Current or Past tabs.
  1. In the top-left corner, click your site name then Realm. Then click Events & Forms > Forms.
  2. Download the responses:
    • In the Forms list, click the More Options icon next to the form and select Download CSV.
    • Click the name of the form, then click Download CSV under the number of responses.
A file named for the form and today's date downloads to your computer, such as Fall Festival-Responses-20261005.csv.
  3. Open the file in your spreadsheet program.

Each row is one response. If someone who's signed in fills out the form again, their new answers replace their earlier ones, so they have only one row. The file includes these columns:

  • Submitted is the date the person sent the form.
  • Name and Email identify the person. They're blank when the person answered without signing in. To make sure every response has a name, turn on Require a Login when you share the form.
  • Each question, including follow-up questions, has its own column. A cell is blank when the person didn't answer or didn't see that question.

When someone picks more than one answer, the answers are separated by semicolons.
