Edit Your User Navigation

  • You must have the PocketPlatform App Manager security role to do this.

You can manage the links, icons, and labels that display in the user menu of your PocketPlatform app. The user menu is the one in the upper-right corner of the app. You can decide whether to show icons for the menu items, and create conditional logic that only displays an item if the user matches certain criteria.

  1. In MinistryPlatform, click the Bookmarks icon bookmark, and click PocketPlatform App Manager.
The App Manager opens in a new browser tab.
  2. Click Edit User Navigation.
Your app's current user links display.
  3. To edit existing user links, click it in the list. To add a new user link, click Add Navigation Item at the bottom of the list.
The configuration settings for the user link display.
    1. For Label, enter the wording you want to display for this user link in your app.
    2. For Icon Pack and Icon, make selections for the icon you want to display for this user link in your app.
    3. If applicable, enter the Link URL (app screen) where this menu item should direct the user. To quickly generate the necessary link, click the link icon in the field and use the Link Generator.
    4. If applicable, add a condition so app users will only see this menu item when appropriate. For more information on these options, see User Navigation Menu Options.
    5. When you've set all the options you want for this user link, click Apply.
  4. To reorder items in your menu, click and drag the user link where you want it to go in the list.
  5. To remove a navigation link from your menu, click the trash can icon beside it, then click OK to confirm the deletion.
Note: There are a few user links that cannot be deleted. These are required for the app to function, including Login, Logout, Settings, and User Profile.
  6. Click Save.

Changes should display in your app within 15 minutes. To reload your app, you can either log out and log in again or fully close the app on your device and restart it.
