PocketPlatform App Manager
The App Manager puts the power of PocketPlatform customization in your hands! As an administrator, you can control different elements and recipes that display in your app.
Set Access to the App Manager
Initially, no MinistryPlatform user has access to the PocketPlatform App Manager. An administrator must allow access via a security role.
Go to , open the PocketPlatform App Manager record, and add the users who should have access to manage your PocketPlatform app. This should be one or two people who understand the technical aspects of your app.
Access the App Manager
Once you have the appropriate security role, you can open the PocketPlatform App Manager from MinistryPlatform. In MinistryPlatform, click the Bookmarks icon , and click PocketPlatform App Manager. (If you get the message "You are not authorized to use this tool", it means you do not have the PocketPlatform App Manager security role. Ask a MinistryPlatform admin for assistance.)
Your App Manager displays different options based on how your app is currently set up.

Customize Your App
- Add, remove, and rearrange links in your app's navigation menu
- Change the icon and label for navigation menu links
- Add, remove, and rearrange recipes on your app's dashboard
- Manage how dashboard recipes are configured
- Add graphics, buttons, and other text elements on the dashboard
- Determine what users can see on their dashboard based on certain criteria
Some customizations still require help from our Support team. You'll need to contact Support to do anything that requires your app to be recompiled, such as changing your app name or description in app stores, changing app colors, switching between drawer and tabbed navigation, and so on.
