Annual Appeals

Non-Catholic Setup for Annual Appeals

Learn how to set up annual appeals for non-Catholic instances of MinistryPlatform.

If you have a non-Catholic instance of MinistryPlatform and want to track the campaign progress of multiple congregations, you'll need to complete a few steps.

Once these fields are visible, you can use them as part of your campaign setup and pledge setup for annual appeals.

Allow Churches/Congregations to be Credited

  1. In the navigation menu, click System Setup > Field Management.
  2. On the Pledges page, find the Parish_Credited_ID field.
  3. Open the record, then click Edit Record.
  4. Set Required to Yes.
  5. Set Hidden to No.
  6. Scroll down to Field Label. (Make sure you're in Field Label, not Field Name.) Enter a field label that will be clear to any staff members working on a campaign.
    Congregation Credited, Church Credited
  7. Click Save.

Allow Credit to be Marked Unknown

If you expect to receive donations from people outside of your churches or congregations, you can enable the Parish Credited Unknown field. This provides a place to track donations not associated with a specific church or congregation.
  1. In the navigation menu, click System Setup > Field Management.
  2. On the Pledges page, find the Parish_Credited_Unknown field.
  3. Open the record, then click Edit Record.
  4. Set Required to Yes.
  5. Set Hidden to No.
  6. Scroll down to Field Label. (Make sure you're in Field Label, not Field Name.) Enter a field label that will be clear to any staff members working on a campaign.
    Congregation Credited Unknown, Church Credited Unknown
  7. Click Save.
