Publish and Share a Form

Publish a form so people can open it, then share it with a link or a QR code.

To build or manage forms, you need the Manage Forms permission set to Allow in your responsibilities. Administrators have this permission by default.

A new form is a draft, and people can't open it until you publish it. Publishing changes the form's status from Draft to Shared. After that, you can share the form from Forms or from the Forms list.
  1. In the top-left corner, click your site name then Realm. Then click Events & Forms > Forms.
  2. If the form's status is Draft, publish it:
    • In the Forms list, click the More Options icon next to the form and select Publish.
    • In Form Builder, click Publish.
  3. When you see Publish Form?, click Publish.
The form's status changes to Shared, and a confirmation shows that the form is live and ready to accept responses.
4. Open the sharing options:
    • If you just published the form, click Share Form in the confirmation.
    • In the Forms list, click the More Options icon next to the form and select Share.
    • In Form Builder, click Share.
  5. To make people sign in to Connect App before they can answer, turn on Require a Login. People who are already signed in aren't asked to sign in again, and anyone with the link can still open the form.
  6. Share the form in one or both of these ways:
    • To share a link, click Copy Link, then paste the link into an email, a text, your website, or anywhere else you reach people.
    • To share a QR code for print or display, click Download.
  7. Click Close.
The link and the QR code open a web page with the form's image, title, description, and questions. When people answer the questions and click Submit, the answers are saved to a .csv file associated with your form.
