New and Improved Features
-
We received feedback about how we could make Special Days & Holidays a little better. So far, we've made two improvements. It can be difficult to identify which days are special when there are so many on your calendar. So, we've broken out some of the Liturgical calendar dates that you can choose whether to display, and we've added an option to choose whether each date displays in color on your calendars.
-
More date options – When you use the Auto Setup for New Year process to add dates for a new year, you now have even more predefined date options: Holy Obligation, Major Feast Days, and Sundays. These include dates that have been split out from the Liturgical calendar, as well as a new category with the Sundays of Lent, Easter, Advent, and Ordinary time. Choose the ones that are important to you! Click View Dates to see which dates will be added.
-
Color on calendars – If you have a lot of special days and holidays in your list (like all the saint days, for example), your calendar may look very blue, making it difficult to tell which dates you actually need to be aware of when scheduling. Now, you can select exactly which dates show with color or not!Note: This option only affects the color shown on calendars. Whether or not you choose to mark a date in color, the information for all dates in the grid still displays in relevant calendar windows and in the Home window.
- Have you ever wanted to show information in a listing report, but the program didn't have a field for it? Now, you can add your own custom fields based on a calculation or code!
- For example, you may want to see the initials of all your organization contacts in a separate column. There's not an existing field for initials, so you can add a custom field that creates them. See Add Custom Fields in Listings for steps.
-
You can also use your custom fields in Additional Selections! For example, only include contacts in your listing if their initials contain the letter 'T'.
