Show Special Characters on Registration Forms

You can show special characters in most registration form fields, introduction, and instructions. For example, you may create an online form for Spanish-speaking families that displays accented characters and inverted punctuation.

  1. On the Information tab, click Families > Processes > Family Online Registration.
  2. Create a web form or email form.
  3. In an editable field, paste the translated text you copied from another source, such as Google Translate.
You can include special characters in the following fields:
    • Form Name
    • Brief Introduction

    • Brief Email Body (if emailing the form)
  4. If you want the options that families select on the form to display in Spanish, you can update your keyword lists and title definitions. (However, note that these don't support special characters, so you'll have to use the English letter equivalent, such as n for ñ.) Then, when creating your form, you can select to show only those options.

  5. Preview the form to make sure the edited fields look the way you expect.
Note: Some default text and buttons, such as the Submit button, are not editable and will display in English.
  6. When you're ready, create or email the form.

When families view your form, they'll see the special characters!
