Set a Group Minimum or Maximum

Admins can set a minimum or maximum number of people that can be registered in a group during the registration process.

  • You must be a Go Method admin to do this.
  • Your hosting organization must approve group registration.
  • You must have set a number in the trip headcount section when creating the event.
The group minimum/maximum is used in conjunction with the event's trip headcount section and refers to the number of people that need to be registered at the same time. You might use this for something like a volunteer event when you know you need groups with a minimum of four and a maximum of six volunteers. In this situation, one person can't register just themselves - they need to register at least three but no more than five other people for their group.
  1. In the top menu, click Events > My Events.
  2. Select an event.
  3. Click the Details tab.
  4. Click Edit.
  5. Under Group Size, set a minimum and maximum.
  6. Click Save Changes.
When applicants register for a trip with a minimum or maximum group sign-up amount, a message displays informing the applicant of the required number of participants to register.
