My Mission Trips
Learn about the My Mission Trips widget, including its sections and what it does.
Using the My Mission Trips widget, people who are logged in can view progress for their mission trips.
- Use of this widget requires authentication. That means, the user must log in first.
- Mission trips are sorted alphabetically by campaign name.
- This widget displays any campaign that the person logged in has applied for (that is, they've made a pledge).
- You can expand each campaign to see more details, including the trip description, fundraising progress, and, optionally, a My Donors section (if configured).
- You can allow trip leaders to view their team's progress (if configured), including trip participant fundraising information. Trip leaders are defined on the Pledge record. If a user is not a trip leader, they will only see their own fundraising progress in the widget, not anyone else's progress.
- If the person logged in is a head of household, applications also display for any household member who is the pledge owner. These show up under the Family Mission Trips heading.
- If the person logged in is a trip leader for a mission trip, a trip leader badge displays on the mission trip.
- Only mission trips with a pledge status of active or completed display in the widget, which you can see in the badge for each trip. Pending and discontinued trips do not display.
- Pledges that are active or completed continue displaying for six months after the campaign's end date. If one is attached, the pledge campaign's image displays. If no image is attached, a stock image displays instead.
Sections
- Campaign Name
- The name of the pledge campaign.
- Participant Name
- The name of the person participating (or member of their household).
- Trip Dates
- The dates of the event associated with the mission trip.
- Fundraising Goal
- The person's fundraising goal displayed on a progress bar.
- My Donors
- The list of people who have contributed to the trip, along with contact information so participants can send thank you notes. Donors display if they gave donations that credit the selected pledge, are not anonymous, are not in the future, and are in a finalized batch. Contact information marked as unlisted does not display. If anonymous donations were credited to the pledge, one row displays for Anonymous Donor, regardless of how many anonymous donors contributed. This can be displayed or hidden in the widget configuration.
- Team Progress
- Team leaders can view their team's progress, including the participant name, pledge status, support goal, amount raised, and the progress percentage. The fundraising total comes from the Total Pledge on the Pledge record, and the Amount Raised is the sum of the Amount on the donation distribution for the relevant pledge. Progress is rounded to the nearest percentage. This can be displayed or hidden in the widget configuration.
