Correct Form Responses Assigned to the Default Contact

Clean your data by updating form response records from the default contact record to an actual contact.

It's important to reassign form response records assigned to the default contact to a real contact record to keep your data clean.

You must edit the default form responses to the appropriate contact for the following types of forms. You may need to create a contact record with the Add/Edit Family tool.
  • Standalone custom form
  • Mission trip registration (you must also update the pledge record)
  • Opportunity response (you must also update the opportunity response record)
  • To keep the response anonymous, assign the default form responses to the unassigned contact record.
  1. In the navigation menu, click Custom Forms > All Form Responses.
  2. Find form responses assigned to the default contact record.
    Search for ***Default, Contact in the Display Name column, or create a view to find records assigned to the default contact.
  3. Click to open the form response record.
  4. Click Edit Record.
  5. In the Contact field, select the appropriate contact record.
  6. Click Save.
  7. Repeat this process for any other form response records assigned to the default contact record.

You've finished reassigning form responses from the default contact record to their rightful contact record! Now when you search for form responses assigned to the default contact record, no records should display.
