Correct Event Participants Assigned to the Default Contact

Clean your data by updating event participant records assigned to the default contact record to an actual participant.

It's important to reassign event participant records assigned to the default contact record to a real participant record to keep your data clean.

  1. In the navigation menu, click People Lists > Event Participants.
  2. In the view drop-down list, select the 1. Reassign Participants view.
  3. Select the participant(s) you want to reassign.
  4. Use the Assign Participant tool to assign these participants to the correct participant record.
    1. From the Tools menu, click Assign Participant.
    2. Search for the event with the participant record.
    3. Review possible matches. If a match exists, click Assign next to the correct participant. If no match exists, click Create New Participant, enter any additional information, and click Save.
    4. Repeat these steps for each record you need to reassign.
    5. Click Save.
    6. Close the tool.
  5. When finished, review the Reassign Participants view to ensure there are no more event participants assigned to the default contact record.

You finished reassigning event participants from the default contact record to their rightful participant record! Now when you select the Reassign Participants view, no records should display.
