Using the Login widget, people can log in or create an account. Then, they can update their personal information and use autofilled forms available in several widgets.

  • Widget forms are autofilled for people who are logged in. This creates a personalized experience and quick action. You can autofill widget forms for any family member of a person that is logged in.
  • Some widgets require people to log in before they can use them to the full extent.
  • The Login widget uses the established OAuth login flow used by other MinistryPlatform applications, including MinistryPlatform, the Batch Manager Tool, Connect Suite, widgets, and any customization or third parties you've configured to use shared authentication. This does not include the Portal.
  • When someone creates an account through the Login widget, MinistryPlatform creates a contact, household, and user record for them. It does not automatically create a participant record, but you can use the Add/Edit Family tool to complete any additional information.
  • Once logged in, people can use the login menu to go to their user account and add or update their information.
  • If the person logged in has a photo attached to their contact record, it displays while logged in. They can upload a new photo from their user account.
  • You can use all social logins (identity providers) configured for use with existing MinistryPlatform applications.
