Email Links Display as HTTP Instead of HTTPS
Troubleshoot your email links that show "http" instead of "https" at the beginning.
After sending an email from MinistryPlatform, links in the email could display like http://yourdomain.org/... instead of https://yourdomain.org/.... You might also notice links being rewritten to a tracking domain, such as https://yourdomain.org/ls/click?.... This may cause email clients to label the link as "Not Secure" or show security warnings to the recipient.
The first thing to do is check whether SendGrid Click Tracking is enabled. When enabled, SendGrid rewrites links so it can track recipient engagement. If the tracking domain is not fully configured for SSL/HTTPS, the rewritten links may show as unsecured HTTP links.
In most cases, disabling Click Tracking immediately resolves the issue. If your organization requires click analytics, you can configure HTTPS support for your SendGrid tracking domain.

Click Tracking FAQ
- Is this a MinistryPlatform issue?
- No. This behavior is typically caused by the link tracking configuration in SendGrid rather than the Platform.
- Will disabling Click Tracking affect email delivery?
- No, email delivery is not affected. The only impact is that SendGrid will no longer record click activity for links in your emails. For more on this, see SendGrid's Clicks and unique clicks help article.
- We disabled Click Tracking and still see HTTP links. What now?
- Verify that:
- You sent a new email after you disabled Click Tracking.
- You're not viewing the email from a cached message.
- The links themselves are configured as HTTPS in the original email content.
- Does SendGrid provide information that could help?
- Yes. See the following SendGrid help articles:
