Birthdays Notification
- Frequency: Daily.
- Recipients: Any active participant with an email and a Participant Type that has the Send_Birthday_Email set to Yes.
- Contents: An email wishing the individual a happy birthday.
- How to Stop: Set end Birthday Email to No on the Participant Type record or set the SERVICES: BirthdayNotificationMessageID configuration setting to (see Configuration Settings below).
- Method for Sending: Platform.
- Logging in Messages: Daily, template message is copied. Recipients are logged.
- Configuration Settings:
- SERVICES: BirthdayNotificationMessageID specifies which Message template to use for notifications. Set this to 0 (zero) to turn off Birthday Notifications.
- Merge Fields Supported:
- Subject: [Nickname].
- Body: [Nickname].
- Initial Configuration: Edit each Participant Type so that the Send Birthday Email field is set to Yes.
- Optional Configuration: Modify the message as needed. Change the From contact to an appropriate record.
Note: Want to get more personal? Create a view on the Group Participants page that displays a person's Name, home address, birthday, and their group and role. Set up a notification for the Ministry Leader and let them send a handwritten note!
