Back Up an SSL Certificate
- Launch the Internet Information Service (IIS) Manager on your web server.
- In the left-hand pane, left-click the name of your server.
- In the right-hand pane, double-click Server Certificates.
- Find the current SSL certificate MinistryPlatform is using, and right-click it.Tip: If there is more than certificate, look for the one with the latest expiration date.
- Click Export.
- Select a backup location.Tip: Save a backup of the SSL Certificate in your Database Backups folder so it backs up to alternate media as part of your scheduled nightly job. You can also save it directly to backup media, such as a CD-R of USB drive, and store it in a safe place.
- Enter a password you can use to restore the certificate in the future. Re-enter the password to confirm it.
- Click OK.
