Care Cases in the Platform

You can manage many aspects of Care Cases through Care Life. But you can only manage some aspects in the Platform. You can create custom Views and/or Processes to support these actions in your church specific scenario.

Create a Care Case Record

  • You can have a custom field for Contact added to the Care Case record. Contact Support for help.
  1. In MinistryPlatform, go to Care Cases > Care Cases.
  2. Click New Care Case.
  3. Enter the necessary details.
  4. Click Save.

Add a New Care Case

Care Case Administrators can add new Care Cases through Care Life. The Care Case Manager can add a Care Case to one of their Care Households.
  1. In Care Life, go to your dashboard.
  2. Click + near the top.
  3. Provide the details.
  4. Click Save.

Assign a Care Case

You can assign a Case Manager to a Care Case. That Case Manager can then manage the Care Case through Care Life.

  1. Go to Care Cases > Care Cases.
  2. Locate and open the Care Case.
  3. Click Edit Record.
  4. For Case Manager, select the Contact.
  5. Click Save.

Close a Care Case

Close completed Care Cases that don't need any more Household Care Log entries.

  1. Go to Care Cases > Care Cases.
  2. Locate and open the Care Case.
  3. Click Edit Record.
  4. Add the appropriate date in the End Date field.
  5. Click Save.
