Share Skills and Interests on the Newsfeed

You can share specific skills and interests on the Newsfeed to highlight your volunteer needs.

  • Only available to administrators and users who have the Manage Skills/Interests permission.

If you want to encourage people to add skills and interests to their profile, you can share them on the Newsfeed.
Writing Assistant

When you start typing in a text box, and this icon displays next to it, you can click the icon to open the writing assistant. Using this assistant you can check your spelling and grammar or rephrase what you've written in a friendly, formal, or inviting tone. You can also generate written content from keywords that you provide.
  1. In the top-left corner, click your ministry hub then Realm. Then click Profiles > Settings > Skills & Interests.
  2. To view skills, click the Skills tab. To view interests, click the Interests tab.
  3. Select the skills or interests you want to share.
  4. In the Select an action... drop-down menu, select Share on Newsfeed.
  5. Enter the name of the group.
  6. Enter a title and a message for your Newsfeed post.
    1. Optional: After you've entered information into the Message text box, you can click the writing assistant to use the writing assistant.
  7. To see what the post will look like before you create it, click Preview.
  8. Click Post.

    You can also click the Share on Newsfeed tab on the Skills & Interests page to create a Newsfeed post that highlights your church's volunteer needs to a specific group.
