Populate Groups Using Queries

Add people to groups in bulk using a query.

  • To run a query, you must be either an administrator or a user with the View Details for Individuals permission.

  • Additionally, you must have permission to the area(s) associated with any attributes you want to query on or have a report with those attributes shared with you.

Using a custom query is the fastest way to add multiple people to a group simultaneously.

  1. Create a query.
  2. Click Show Results.
  3. Select the check box next to each person you want to add to the group, or select the box at the top to choose all.
  4. Select Add to a Group from the Select an action list.
  5. Click the Ministry Area field, and select the appropriate one from the list.
  6. Select a Group from the drop-down list.
  7. Click Add to Group.
