Manage the Constant Contact Sync

Turn the daily sync on or off for a linked account, or run a sync right away.

The daily sync keeps the preferred name and email address of your contacts current between Realm and Constant Contact. Each account you link has its own sync that you turn on separately.

When you enable the sync, Realm tries to match the first name and email address between an individual's Realm profile and your existing Constant Contact contacts. Every profile with a primary email address, for someone who isn't deceased, syncs — but only profiles that fully match get linked.

CAUTION: If you change information on an individual's Constant Contact profile, including removing their name, that change also applies to their Realm profile the next time the daily sync runs.

New individuals you add to Realm don't join the daily sync until you send their profile data to Constant Contact at least once.

Tip: A good way to bring new profiles in is to periodically run a query for them and send the data from the query.
  1. In the top-left corner, click your site name then Realm. Then click Communications > Constant Contact.
  2. Find the account you want to change, then do one of the following.
    • Turn the daily sync on. Under the account, turn on Enable daily sync.

    • Turn the daily sync off. Next to the account, click the more options icon and select Disable Daily Sync. Click Disable Daily Sync again to confirm.

    • Run a sync now. Under the account, click Run Sync, then click Run Sync again to confirm. This is only available once the daily sync is on.

Note: You can run the sync once per hour. If you've run it recently, the time of the next available sync displays next to Run Sync.
