PocketPlatform - Released November 10, 2025
This app store release includes several new screens that you can add to PocketPlatform!
Google Play Page Size Requirement
- You may have received an email about a Google Play change that requires your app to support 16 KB memory page sizes. With this release, rest assured that your PocketPlatform app will meet this requirement. You should not see any interruptions to the availability of your app.
Bible Reader
- Look up and read any Bible passage within the app! In addition to the scripture passages available in Reading Plans and Sermons, your congregants can now open the Bible, navigate to any book and chapter, then read or study at their own pace. You can set which translations (ASV, CSB, ESV, or KJV) are available for congregants to choose from. For more information, see Bible Reader.Note: The Bible reader is not intended to replace a Bible study app with highlighting and notes functionality. We are working on audio versions that will read passages aloud, so keep an eye on future enhancements!
Life Apps/Connect Suite Handoff
- We streamlined the way app users go from PocketPlatform to Life Apps (now known as Connect Suite). Instead of having to verify their login via a code, they are now sent directly into the application. For example, when an authenticated user taps the Group Connect link in the app menu, they will immediately see their Group Connect dashboard — no extra clicks or passwords! After this release, you should see the new seamless handoff for Group Connect and Volunteer Connect in your right navigation menu.
MP eGiving
- We streamlined the way app users go from PocketPlatform to MP eGiving. Instead of having to verify their login via a code, they are now sent directly into the application.
- If you use MP eGiving, there are three new screens that you can add in your app:
- My Giving History is just like the My Giving widget. Authenticated users can see details of their past financial gifts, including gifts given by their spouse. The list shows icons for different payment types, including cash, check, stock, and ACH/bank/other.
- My Pledges is just like the My Pledges widget. Authenticated users can view and manage their active pledges, including those at different campuses/parishes. They can see each of their family member's progress, give toward a pledge, or cancel a pledge.
- My Statements is just like the My Contribution Statements widget. Authenticated users can view and download the five most recent statements on record.

Note: These new screens are only available to MP eGiving customers right now. We are working to make them available for other giving platforms.
Minor Registration
- App users can now sign up another person for an event in PocketPlatform, similarly to the way it's done in widgets. They can select which family member to register and enter parent information for children. This is perfect for registering a minor who does not have app access!

Reminders
- Recent Change to Life Apps: In the Life Apps November release, we changed the names of the Care Life and Group Life applications to Care Connect and Group Connect. Volunteer Connect and Need Connect already followed this pattern. These are now collectively known as Connect Suite.
- Portal access will end December 31. The Portal has served many churches for years. But now that its functionality is available in newer, modern tools like PocketPlatform, Connect Suite, and Widgets, we are disabling access. For details, see End of Portal Access.
- Are you more of a visual learner? Check out our video library for MinistryPlatform! We are constantly adding and updating new videos, and you can submit video topics that you'd like to see next. Check it out and let us know what you think!
- Support Hours: Support is available Monday-Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. EST/EDT. If you submit a case outside of these hours, including on a holiday, the case will be reviewed at the start of the next business day. If your concern cannot wait, you can call 843-413-8400 and leave a voicemail. We are notified and will work to assist you. Hourly rates may apply for off-hours assistance. For all the details, see Support Hours & Holidays.
