Delete a Deposit

CAUTION: Delete with care! Deleting a deposit is unusual, should be done carefully, and often makes the accounting system out of balance. Any data deleted from MinistryPlatform is completely gone. Recovering deleted data requires Professional Services and incurs a cost.
  1. In the navigation menu, click Contributions > Deposits.
  2. Make sure you have no selected records.
  3. Select the deposit to delete.
  4. Confirm your selection by changing the selection drop-down list to Current/Unsaved Selection.
  5. Click Delete.
  6. Click Unassign at the end of the batches row.
  7. Click OK.

The Deposit record has been completely purged, and the batch records (if any) are now orphaned.

You can delete any unneeded batches.
