Move Unassigned Funds to a Participant Account

Unassigned Funds are gifts that have not been assigned to any particular participant.

  • You must be a Go Method admin to do this.
Donations made to an overall trip are designated as unallocated funds, meaning they have not been assigned to any particular participant. These funds may be added manually to any participant account by the event's admin or a trip leader with the appropriate permissions.
  1. Go to Events > My Events.
  2. Click on the event.
  3. On the left menu, click Team Members > View Team Members.
  4. Click on the participant you want to move the unallocated funds to.
  5. Click the Funding tab.
  6. Click Add Funds.
  7. Enter the donation details:
    1. Donor Name: Enter the name of the individual, ministry, or other donor designation as appropriate.
    2. Amount: Enter the amount of the donation in dollars.
    3. Allocation Type: Choose Unallocated from the drop-down list. This will remove the funds from your unallocated funds pool.
    4. Optional: Reference Number: Include a reference number here to help track funds for your accounting team.
    5. Optional: To hide the donation amount from the team member receiving this donation, select the Hide the Donation Amount check box.
  8. Click Add Funds.
The funds have been moved from the unallocated funds pool and assigned to the participant. The donation will now appear in the participant funding details screen.
