View and Print Easy Lists

Easy Lists can answer questions such as "Who has a birthday this month?" or "Which individuals attended Baptism Preparation last Wednesday?" You can customize the fields you want to view in the list, place them in the order you want, and print the lists.

You can also create a letter, label, and/or envelope to send to everyone in your Easy List. For example, you can send a birthday letter for a particular month or a thank you letter to everyone who served in a particular ministry.

  1. On the Information tab, click Members > Easy Lists.
  2. Select the Easy List you want to view:
    • Attendance – Shows member names, what the attendance is for, attendance dates, types (absent or present), phone numbers and types, family names, family phone numbers and types, and whether the phone numbers are unlisted.
    • Birthday List – Shows individual names, birth dates, ages, grades, and genders.
    • Different Last Names List – Shows individual names, member types, family names, phone numbers and types, and whether the phone numbers are unlisted.
    • General Remarks List – Shows member names and general remarks.
    • Grade List – Shows member names, grades, birth dates, relationships, marital statuses, phone numbers and types, whether the phone numbers are unlisted, and email addresses.
    • Keyword List – Shows member names, keywords, grades, birth dates, relationships, marital statuses, phone numbers and types, whether the phone numbers are unlisted, and email addresses.
    • List of Children – Shows member names, genders, birth dates, ages, grades, relationships, and marital statuses.
    • List of Parents – Shows parent names, relationships, genders, marital statuses, birth dates, phone numbers and types, whether the phone numbers are unlisted, and email addresses.
    • Ministry List – Shows individual names, ministries, ministry statuses, ministry start and end dates, phone numbers and types, whether the phone numbers are unlisted, and email addresses.
    • Sacrament Information List – Shows member names, sacraments, sacrament dates, sacrament statuses, sacrament places, and sacrament place cities/states.
    • Talent List – Shows individual names, talents, talent statuses, talent start and end dates, phone numbers and types, whether the phone numbers are unlisted, and email addresses.
    • User Keywords List – Shows member names, grades, religion, disabilities, and occupations.
  3. To filter your Easy List based on the available criteria, make your selections.
  4. Click Apply/OK.
    Applicable records display in the grid. Inactive and/or Deceased records display in red text.
  5. To change what displays in your Easy List, click Customize View.
    1. To add a column to your Easy List, select the field name from the list on the left, and click the right arrow button.
    2. To reorder columns, select the field name from the list on the right, and click the up or down arrow buttons.
    3. To return columns to the default view, click Default Values.
    4. Click Save/OK.
      Note: PDS saves and recalls your customized settings the next time you run this Easy List.
  6. To export the information in the grid, click Export List. You can choose from .csv, .xml, .txt, .xls, or .ods file types.
  7. To print a letter, label, or envelope based on the information from your Easy List, click Easy Letter.
  8. To see another Easy List, click Select a List.
