Custom Views
Learn how churches can create custom page views using the Advanced Search Tool or SQL, and how to request assistance for complex views.
MinistryPlatform churches can create their own custom page views (filters) with the Advanced Search Tool or knowledge of SQL. Occasionally, a church can imagine a page view that they can't create with the Advanced Search Tool or their SQL knowledge.
Example
You want a page view that lists donors who are part of the numbered envelope mailing who are now giving online. You want to include those whose spouse is giving online as well.
In this example, the church wants to remove these donors from the numbered envelope mailing. The church wants to put this view on the Donors page because that is the page that's easiest to mass update a selection of donors and remove them from the envelope file mailing. This view is complicated to make because it must reference information on another family member's record.
In a situation like this, the church can create the view with the criteria and columns it wants and then send an email including the details outlined in Free View Assists to Support.
