Donor Tracking
Learn more about tracking donors at the donation level, donation frequency, and other data points.
Donor records have several key data points to help you see a clear picture of a person's financial investment in your church, including donation level, donation frequency, and more.
Donation Level
Donation level is the level based on dollars at which the donor contributes to the church (including soft credit donations). The values:
- Are automatically set and updated by a nightly routine based on the history of the donor's Donation records in the last 90 days.
- Should not be manually set.
- Are a summary of database activity.
- Help answer the question: To what extent has this person given over the past 90 days?
- Include a small number of fixed values that a church should not change: High, Medium, Low, Minimal, or None.
See Donor Engagement Routine for configuration details and options.
Donation Frequency
Donation frequency is the level based on how often or the number of donations that the donor contributes to the church (including soft credit donations). The values:
- Are automatically set and updated by a nightly routine based on the history of the donor's Donation records in the last 90 days.
- Should not be manually set.
- Are a summary of database activity.
- Helps answer the question: How often has this person given over the past 90 days?
- Include a small number of fixed values that a church should not change: Weekly, Bi-weekly, Monthly, Occasional, or None.
See Donor Engagement Routine for configuration details and options.
Other Important Data Points
You can also check out the Donor History - Lapsing view under . These are established donors who have not given in two to three months. "Established" means giving for more than six months and having given on average at least monthly. This view is by donor, not by household. Thus, this view doesn't know if any giving was assigned to a spouse. To see lapsed donors in light of the entire household, use the Find Donor Household Change report.
